Russia’s Vkusno i tochka posts 11.3 bln rbl RAS net loss in 2022

MOSCOW, Mar 29 (PRIME) -- Sistema PBO, the owner of former McDonald’s restaurant chain in Russia Vkusno i tochka, posted an 11.3 billion ruble net loss in 2022 as compared with a net profit of more than 2 billion rubles in 2021, as calculated under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), the company said in a report late on Tuesday.

Revenue fell by 2.3% on the year to 73.5 billion rubles in 2022, while the sales loss widened to 5.4 billion rubles from 3.9 billion rubles.

At the same time, revenue of DVRP, a company through which Vkusno i tochka develops its chain in the Far East, grew by 3.6% to 667.7 million rubles las year.

A company spokesperson told PRIME that it was incorrect to compare the results of 2022 with the results of 2021 as the company’s restaurants were closed from March 2022 through June of the year and were reopening gradually through September. Also, not all positions and services were launched simultaneously with the reopening of the restaurants.

“The results of January and February of this year are higher than the results of the same months of 2022. As regards to March, we can only compare the figures with 2021, and this month, Vkusno i tochka is showing better results than the brand that left had posted (in March 2021),” the spokesperson said.
